On sunday night, Carlo was sitting alone on these car seats at the stage next to the front entrance. I think it the stage was called Birkenhain, not sure anymore. I approached him and asked if I could sit next to him. Then I showed him my transparent tarot cards and asked if he wanted to have a reading.
He was amazed. I remember for sure, he had Knight of Pentacles and 5 of Swords. The third one was a minor wands card, maybe 5 of Wands, but could also have been 2 or 3 of Wands.
Anyway, this was how the cards looked like after he pulled them.

I remember that I held them towards the light between the tree in front of us and said, “looks like people are fighting”. Then I turned them around and said “and now it looks like a tree”.

The reading I gave him was something like this.
5 of Swords: There was a fight and now you are picking up the pieces and decide to move on.
5 of Wands: You are trying to juggle many things at the same time.
Knight of Pentacles: You are working on building something new.
Then we chatted for a bit. I remember that he was talking with a rather quiet voice and that I had the impression that he was pretty centered. He told me, that he does tarot a bit but is more into I-Ging. He mostly just asked, do you have a message.
The chat went on about Italo Disco and venues and parties in Berlin. For some reason, it switched to Astrology, well for me that’s naturally cause it’s my favourite topic. I guess he didn’t know what to say because he said, oh it is very late I have to leave now. Because I have to take the train, two airplanes and the ferry! I asked what that is about and he explained his journey in detail. He said with a sigh, that’s the price for living on an island. “But it’s an island afterall!” I said. I remember in that moment I could see the small boy in him looking for recognition. Then he suddenly jumped from the couch and said well, it was nice to meet you!
Then he left and me, still post mdma from the night before said, “Carlo! Let’s hug!”.
I mean, what bad can a hug do, right? And how many times has Karla met a Carlo who is into Disco and Italo Disco? Yeah, that one time.
Well, a year later I would find out what bad a hug can do. Someone even wrote a song about it. -> What about this?!
