On Friday, while we are getting ready to go, we watch the ifm live stream. I-F is already at the stage. He is wearing the new ifm merchandise sweater. It’s purple. Damn, I wanted to wear my purple skirt today… I think for a bit and then decide not to care. It’s a party, there will be plenty of people, so what.
As we arrive on the festival side, I-F is not wearing his purple sweater anymore. He’s now wearing some old worn out shirt in weird greyish green and same style worn out sweater jacket with lots of holes. Okay…
Friday night we were sitting outside at a big table not far from the door, next to us were two spanish DJs. The festival had four rooms and most of the sets changed at the same time. So at these times there was more movement in and out of the door. Around nine or ten, two or three Carlo doppelgangers came out. One of the spanish guys comment was: Oh look at the mediterranean vibes we suddenly have here!
On Thursday afternoon I had told my friends that I am gonna attend a boxing course in June. Friday or Saturday noon on our way to the festival there was a cargo bike standing on the walkway with boxing gloves in it. ?!
Saturday night I am sitting outside with two friends. At the table next to us are sitting four older guys I had never seen before in my life, looking at me, nodding and saying repeatedly ‘Angelface’.
Next morning I looked on my discogs App for songs named ‘Angelface’. I found this: https://www.discogs.com/release/7195881-Various-Hitsommer-79-55-Holiday-Hits
I looked at the label ‘Philips’, there was described in songs what I had been doing at the festival the last days.
The “highlight” was on Sunday, the last day. In the outside area was put up a VIP only zone with a couch. Most of the time the area was empty, later some folks sat there and took selfies.

Sunday night David Vunk played an Italo set. In the middle of the set he played this:
I was highly irritated and turned to my friends because I had the feeling that song didn’t match in the set, the beat was different to the song played before and even the experienced David Vunk had problems to mix it. My friends comment was: Oh yeah, cool song.
Well, they didn’t know that this song had been part of my first playlists.
I-F and the spanish DJ were standing not far from us and watched me. When they saw my irritation they started grinning.
During the whole festival I heard many songs I felt were allusions towards me and the radio story. “Waiting for the magic”, “In der Warteschleife” and so on.
